St. John's-St. Luke UCC is part of the Detroit Metropolitan Association, of the Southeast Area Associations, of Michigan Conference, United Church of Christ. St. John's-St. Luke UCC was founded in 1833.  The church has great historic significance as it was a part of the underground railroad, assisting many slaves across the Detroit River to freedom in Canada.  They celebrated their 170th anniversary as a congregation in 2003.  They are currently being served alternating weeks by 2 ministered, the Rev. Larry Hawkins and the Rev. James Womack.

DIRECTIONS TO ST. JOHN'S-ST. LUKE UCC:

From west and northwest: Take I-96, or the Lodge to its juncture with I-75.
